Passion Over Perfection

Set your notions of inadequacy on fire

Set your notions of inadequacy on fire

Today I want to talk about perfection and our perceived notion of not being "good enough." I say this in quotes because the idea of somehow being inadequate is usually a complete fallacy made up in your mind. It's an entirely ego-based thought train and doesn't do you any good. It stops you in your tracks, and tells you to just give up. You suck, anyway...

So why do I want to talk about this today? As I work with my clients for my Lifestyle Career coaching program, I'm realizing that this word "enough" is so strong in our vocabularies. I admit, I say it too, but it is such bullshit! It's an illusion that your fear and your ego conjure up to make you stop. Why? Because that's fear's job; it doesn't know anything else except the word "No," and it's in own twisted way is trying to protect from danger, except the only danger here is damaging your own self-worth and ability to make good shit happen for you by never feeling good enough!

So here's the deal, perfection is just an illusion, and it is just the another form of procrastination and distraction from action; therefore, when you think that you aren't good enough or your website or that blog post is just not quite perfect yet, news flash, it never will be. But, the good news, passion over perfection is the real deal, and imperfection is really I'mperfect. (Just another illusion, right?)
